Lauren ZerkowskiInstructor![]() Lauren began her dance training at Dance Spectrum at the age of four, became part of the competition team at age seven, and was accepted into the company program at age ten. While dancing in the company program, she was challenged by the classes and training. She credits Dance Spectrum for shaping her into the dancer that she is today. Throughout her journey with the company team, Lauren was a participant in numerous high scoring and Critic’s Choice-winning numbers. Some of Lauren’s favorite memories include participating in the NYCDA gala in 2008 for two numbers, being a NYCDA Senior Outstanding dancer in 2010, and being chosen for tap scholarships during conventions. When Lauren’s competitive dancing years were over, becoming a dance teacher was her next goal. Being a dance teacher allows Lauren to help every student grow with guidance and energy. She strives to create a positive experience in the classroom. She has been an instructor at Dance Spectrum for the past two years, first teaching the genres of acro and hip hop, and now migrating into teaching jazz and ballet. She is excited for the coming years in her teaching career. Lauren is also currently a student at Canisius College where she is concentrating in Accounting and Finance. |
