Katie Roessler

Katie considers it an honor to have been a part of the Dance Spectrum family since the age of three.  Her dance experience began at Dance Spectrum when she was a 'Parakeet in tap shoes' in Miss Lynne's class.  She is grateful to her parents for providing her with the support she needed to become a part of the Dance Spectrum competition and company teams.  She credits Dance Spectrum with giving her multiple opportunities, including performing at the Erie County Fair and other local events, traveling to New York City to compete, working with well-known choreographers, and volunteering at the Erie County Home.  Katie believes that dancing is not just an artform but that dancing also builds life-long skills. 

Katie's primary goal in teaching is to share the idea of being a life-long learner that her parents instilled in her.  Her passion for teaching extends into coaching the Canisius College Dance Team and, most recently, becoming the 5th grade teacher at Annunciation School in Elma, New York.  She teaches because she is inspired by young learners and their energy.  She says, "Knowing that moldable and curious minds are depending on me to help them discover their potential and prepare for continuous growth is a phenomenal feeling."
